INFORMATION ON THE SHELLS

The images at left and below are of a shell, in the Collection, now identified as "Corculum cardissa (Linne, 1758), form monstrosum". It was collected at Gebu, Philippine Islands, also in the early '60s.

The shell has a distinctively concave rim and what appear to be prominent teeth near the umbone. The shell is 5.2 cm.
